Greedy thief!

You would imagine I would know better but no, I left a bowl of eight apples on the kitchen table this morning and walked away. Two minutes later, I returned to discover all eight apples were missing. The moral of the tale is never trust a greedy dog!

He has his annual trip to the vet next week and I fear we shall be told off for our big boy being overweight. His teeth are in good nick though, lol.

  4. i couldn’t agree more, I remember many years ago our family dog ate a cream egg that I had placed on the side of my chair, I was only out of the room for a moment and on my return our little Yorkie had not only scoffed the whole egg but he had left all the foil wrapping on the floor πŸ™‚ Cheeky indeed πŸ™‚

Of course chocolate can be fatal for dogs so anyone reading this one, don’t give your dogs chocolate, mine was a little thief but luckily it had no negative consequences, well apart from me missing out on my cream egg 😦 lmao

Have a lovely Tuesday Penny and don’t be leaving your apples around again or there could be a repeat performance, much to your dogs satisfaction πŸ™‚

  6. Now who could possible ever get mad at a face like that. LOL I know my knew dog Sheaba I really have to watch the food left out as I am sure she spent much of her life stealing many of her meals just to have something to eat. Have a wonderful day.
    Hugs Carrie

Hiya Carrie. My other dog would not think of stealing food. By the way, how is Sheaba doing now?

      • Sheaba is doing very well. She seems to be like a normal dog when other dogs are here for a visit. She is then very social and more trusting in other people and her surroundings, but when they are not here she is still very timid and afraid sometimes. She is forever looking above her like something is going to come down and trap her. She doesn’t like when the wind blows outside as too many things are moving around for her. She is mostly just a house dog. I often have to crawl under the table to put a leash on just to get her to go outside or go for walks. We take her for 2 long walks a day which she just lovessss and she loves to spend the rest of the time inside the house just sleeping. For awhile on her walks she would be in the forest and take off after something and would yelp and yip chasing something all over the forest. She would sometimes be gone for up to 1 hour. After 2 months I finally caught sight of what she was chasing. A rabbit. Her favorite prey when she lived in the desert. There are not many rabbits here, so for her to find one is amazing. She has given up on our resident squirrel, but will make a run for the few marmots we have left. I can now pick up sticks in the yard and she doesn’t run away thinking I am going to throw them at her.
When in the house she spends most her time under the dining room table where we put a sheep skin for her since she started laying there regularly. No she is not fed handouts under the table. She won’t sleep or lie out in the open. Almost like she has to have a cave or den. Even when she is outside she never wonders away from the yard, even though we are surrounded by forests and fields she only leaves when we go for walks. Except when she is after a rabbit she always stays near us when we go for walks. I am almost 2 months behind my monthly blog at a window to my world, I know I should be writing and updated on so many things, but just been so busy. Also those extra walks everyday take extra time. But thank you for asking
Our animals are special to us. Your big black boy I could just throw my arms around him, he has such a sweet face.

I am thrilled to hear Sheaba is doing so well, Carrie. It makes all the hard work and patience worth while.
