Sigh!

Those of you that have been my friend for a while, know I had two small strokes a year ago, which caused epileptic fits.  I take medication for this which [touch wood] has prevented further fits.  I also have very painful arthritis in my knees and hips, which is why I have not had a job for five years.  Terry went to sign on the other day [having lost his job] and he was informed that I must also do so or see my doctor to get an exemption certificate.  I know this sounds easy but I hate bothering my doctor for anything, have an over developed sense of pride and have a disconcerting habit of bursting into tears when I feel awkward, which in turn, makes me very tetchy.  Not the best of scenarios, eh?  Right now I am wringing my hands at the prospect.  Note to self…..try to stay young in future.smile_confused

Hi Pen, I’m sorry to hear that Pen but just think. Your doctor gets paid to have your custom, it is his job to provide the forms you need to send into the social. You have worked all your lives and now when you need the help don’t let it stop you getting what you have paid in for all these years in taxes. I know how you feel about bothering the doctor I’m like that too. Bright Blessings xxx

Pen, I’m so sorry to read that. I haven’t been visiting you long enough to know that. I agree with Louise, whilst I hate "bothering" the doctor, that is what they are there for. I find a good tip is to write down what I want/need to say or I leave with the important stuff unsaid and then get upset with myself. And do it asap as the longer you leave it the harder it gets! Good luck, Pen. Hugs xx

Hope the economy gets going again , there are a lot of us in the same boat . So take what help you can and the doctor will understand the reason for the visit . Things are getting better a little here in Canada and hope things improve there as well

I know well. Tomorrow I have appt. with specialist for form filling and, well, I just understand. I get these anxiety bouts and should be in bed/asleep but it seems worrisome. I send prayers for strength and just allowing the process to unfold with trust. I hope it all goes well and that Mozart’s spritely music carries you through this blessed day of living.

Morning Penny ((hugs))I do hope all goes well with the doc, and I can understand your discomfort hun, and this may sound kinda strange but I do the same as you at my docs… tears are never far behind a visit to the doc, and another thing we have in common, I have epilepsy too, not had a seizure for a long time, but still classed as epileptic. although mine was from me being in my teens. I think lou has hit the nail on the head, the doc is there to help you in whatever way they can, you have contributed towards their wages and are entitled to their help and support.good luck hunlove nhugsdebsxXx
